He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard A. Sr. Thiessen and Norma Jean Thiessen (Scherf). He is survived by: his children, Angela Thiessen-Willson (David King) and Chad Thiessen of Perrysburg, Ohio; his grandchildren, Luke, Lex, Liam and Libby; his brothers, Richard Thiessen Jr. (Sandra) of Port Clinton, William Thiessen of Green Springs and James Thiessen (Marsha) of Fremont; and his former wife Penny Thiessen of Perrysburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
