He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stewart Scott Cairns and Kathleen Hand Cairns; his wife Alice; his children, Doug (Angie), Tim and Heather (Ann Barton); his grandchildren, Emily Mudarth (Mark), Scott (Jasmine), Jeff, Cooper, Ava and Annalise; his great grandchildren, Owen Mudarth, Elias Mudarth and Lily Cairns; his brother Charles (Helen); and his daughter Pamela.
