It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daisy Browdetta Shands of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, born in Monroe, Louisiana, who passed away on January 12, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Browder Willis and Florence Willis; her siblings, Mary Elizabeth and Browder Jr.; and her husband Norman James Shands, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Philip (Shuara Wilson) and Claire A. (Eric Waag); and her grandchildren, Adam, Rachel Shands, Alyssa and Jonah Waag. She is also survived by her husband, children and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Daisy suggested to Dillard University, 2601 Gentilly Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70122.
