He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothy J. Johnson Blackard; and his siblings, Bambi Peters and Steve Blackard. He is survived by: his wife Paula Halasz; his children, Alexander Neil Halasz of Clarksburg and Amanda McQuithy (Terry) of Charleston, WV; his grandchildren, Callie Addison and TJ McQuithy; and his father William "Bill" Blackard of Marshall, TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
