She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl and Vera; her husband Emil Hess; her sister Alice Dietz; her daughters-in-law, Lois Hess and Lareda Hess; and her great grandchild Jake Hess.
She is survived by: her children, Jack Hess of Middlefield, Larry Hess of Middlefield, Curtis Hess (Pam) of Claridon Township, Dana Hess (Linn) of Orwell, Brian Hess (Lori) of Claridon Township and Alan Hess (Donna) of Tennesse; and her brother Harold Hope of Garrettsville. She is also survived by 20 Grandchildren, and numerous Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Viola's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
