He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Rittinger and Amy Rittinger (Williams); his daughter Carol Hemphill; his brother Wheeler Rittinger; and his sisters-in-law, Janice and Norma Jean Rittinger.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Jane Rittinger (Hooks); his son Daryl Rittinger (Tracy); his grandchildren, Jennifer Rittinger and Brock Hemphill; his great grandchildren, Bryan Rittinger and Chloe Hemphill; and his brother Marvin Rittinger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
