It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth VanVliet of Chillicothe, Ohio, born in Crestline, Ohio, who passed away on May 14, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father B. Austin Robinson; her husbands, Richard S and Lloyd Van Vliet; and her sisters, Jean Cahill, Janet Beaulieu and Carol Grutsch.
She is survived by: her children, Lynn Reese of Chillicothe, Stephen Gardner of Columbus and Gregg Gardner (Becky) of Chillicothe; her stepdaughters, Lisa Coppel (Steve) of Chillicothe and Jennifer Gordon (Jack) of Chillicothe; her grandchildren, Mat Reese (Vicki), Dakota Gardner, Hilliard and Sierra Gardner of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; her stepchildren, Luke Meehan of Chillicothe, Christopher Coppel of Chillicothe and Maddie Coppel of Chillicothe; her great grandchildren, Jasper and Oscar Reese; her sister Connie Baker of Avon Lake, OH; and her friend Vic Smith (Sue Sherman). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
