With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald T. Ater of Chillicothe, Ohio, who passed away on January 19, 2022 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Wendell Ater and Marjorie Ater (Nangle); his daughters, Kerry Fazzina (Rick) of Pickerington, Cindy Bowles (Bob) of Chillicothe, Dawn Ater of Chillicothe, Melanie Detty (Jeff) of Chillicothe and Jennifer Ford (Marty) of Chillicothe; his grandchildren, Justin (Erin), Lindsay (Jeff), Jordan, Dalton, Keigan, Rachel, Camryn, Reilly, Madeline and Caroline; his great grandchildren, Nick, Drew, Lleyton, Mia, Ellie, Asa and Asher; and his siblings, Judy Bentley (Phil) of Florida, Dan Ater of North Carolina and Mike Ater (Dianne) of Texas.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mary's Church or the Scioto Valley Habitat for Humanity.
