She was predeceased by: her parents, Mona Dozer (Iles) and Cledtis Henry Dozer; and her pet Sparky. She is survived by: her husband J. Curtis Tillis; her children, Deborah Lynn and James Dwight (Lori); her granddaughters, Kaila Magill (Craig) and Karah Tillis; her stepgrandson James Detty (Kaitlyn); her great grandchild Grant James Magill; her brother Ronald of Alabama; her sister-in-law Carolyn Dozer; and her brothers, Meredith (Goldie Ratcliff) and Rev. William (Naomi Tillis). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Gideon's International or the National Church Residences Hospice.
