She is survived by: her children, Marsha Ater of Proctorville and Ival Shields (Jamie) of Chesapeake; her grandchildren, Steven Ater (Jenny), Matthew Ater, Luke Shields and Leah Shields; her great grandchildren, Casen Ater and Reece Ater; and her sister-in-law Shirley Sheline. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
