She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Auyong and Annie Auyong; her husband Gene Brooks; her siblings, Elaine Young, Jenny Lum and Herman Auyong; her great grandchild Ellie McBride; and her sister-in-law Mary Kangas.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Lau; her children, Patricia Ritz (Jim), Steve McBride, Sr. (Claudia), Kate Chesbrough and Kenny McBride; her stepchildren, Walter and Diane Brooks; her grandchildren, Scott Vanscoy (Anne), Ben Cowan, Casey McBride, Steven McBride, Jr. (Sarah), Nick Chesbrough (Bella), Lucas Chesbrough, Nathan Ritz (Charlotte), Jerame Lawson (Dana) and Danielle Lewis (Eric); and her close friends, Mary Herman and Marie Bartosik.
