He was predeceased by: his parents, Abraham VanKirk and Rose Kale VanKirk; his brother Richard; his sister-in-law Donna VanKirk; his sister Joanne; his brother-in-law Ronald Grim; his sisters, Rose Marie Dunlap and Barbara Jenkins; and his great grandchild Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Wolf; his children, Tom Kean (Christina) of San Antonio, TX, John VanKirk (Sherry) of Spring, Rena VanKirk of Carpinteria, CA and Melissa Hill (David) of Ogilvie, MN.; his grandchildren, Tori, Dakota, Ashley, John III, Zack, Naomi, Tim, Heather, Brandon and Savannah; and his siblings, Carrie and Bo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
