He is survived by: his wife Geraldine Nitz; his sons, Ken Nitz (Melinda), Mark Nitz (Liz), Scott Freed (Rose), Doug Nitz (Rachel) and Steve Nitz (Amy); and his siblings, John, Richard Nitz and Carol Travis. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
