He was predeceased by: his parent George Herley Nichelson; his children, Melody Sue Saxton and George Edward Nichelson; his great grandchild Tanner Jacob Cale Perdue; and his siblings, Twila Lavy, Helen Pauly, Linda Masters, Glen Nichelson and Kenneth Nichelson.
He is survived by: his parent Anna Margaret Smith Nichelson; his wife Patricia Ellen Hickman Nichelson; his children, Debbie E. Snyder of Caldwell, Cindy V. McGee (James Riley) of Trimble, Jeffrey W. Nichelson and Michael E. Nichelson (Janet Case); and his siblings, William C. Nichelson of Ava, Beverly J. Hague of Marietta and Frankie Buckey of Cambridge. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
