He was predeceased by: his parents, Emily Sarah Briggs Seamster and William McCoy; his son Richard Michael McCoy; and his brother William "Bill" Briggs. He is survived by: his daughter Robin Renee McCoy of Zanesville; and his siblings, Kenneth "Kenny" McCoy (Sue) of McArthur, Emanuel McCoy of Byesville, Linda Bettinger of Florence, Carol Mizik of Belle Valley, Daniel "Danny" Prunty of Belle Valley and Janell Wheeler (Jay) of Florence. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
