He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Bench and Louise Bench (Marx); and his sister Shirley Bench. He is survived by: his wife Nettie Bench (Muklewicz); his son Kevin Bench (Rebbeca) of Bridgeport; his grandchildren, Emily and Matthew Bench; and his sister-in-law Brenda Pashalis of Bridgeport.
