He is survived by: his wife Cecilia Carpenter; his children, Dawn Carpenter, Mollie Shumaker (Fred), Scott Carpenter (Angela), Nicholas Carpenter (Mary) and James Diamond; his grandchildren, Heather Luckart, Andrea Wright, Corey Shumaker, Camie Brown, Noah, Olivia, Wyatt Carpenter, Brandon, Devin and Jada Diamond; his siblings, Diane Shick (Tom) and John Carpenter; and his cousin Charlene Carpenter. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
