He was predeceased by: his parents, Vera Mathey (Guy) and Edward Eugene Mathey; his stepfather William C. Rugani; and his daughter Stacey Mathey Osborn. He is survived by: his wife Ethel; his children, Stephen (Dawn), Shawn (Sujin Lee) and Suzanne Rawlings (Darrell); and his grandchildren, Jesse (Jaima), Jared Mathey (Patricia), Aubrey, John (Shianne), Michael Rawlings (Kylie), Hannah and Sarah Mathey.
