He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Joseph and Grace A. McCarty (Goheen); his former wives, Marcia McCarty (Martin) and Sarah Bowman; and his siblings, Joseph, Russell, Mary Alice, Kenneth, Patrick, John, Grace and Maxine.
He is survived by: his children, Marshall McCarty (Brenda) of Bowling Green and Jennifer Buckingham (Robin) of Bloomdale; his grandchildren, Alyssa Dorsey (Brian), Katherine Buckingham (Carlos Escoboza), Jessica Buckingham, Nicholas McCarty, Justin McCarty and Dylan McCarty; and his great grandchild Thiago Martin Escoboza Buckingham.
Memorial contributions may be given in his memory to St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Bowling Green.
