He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Schooner and Helen Schooner (Piddock); his mother-in-law Margaret Sheeks; his wife Margaret; and his siblings, Ted Schooner, Ron Schooner, Larry Schooner and Sharon Weaver.
He is survived by: his daughter Tammie Ameling (Don) of Bowling Green; his granddaughters, Sarah Ameling and Sydney Ameling; his siblings, Lon Schooner (Pam), Pat Harrison, Shelby Myerholtz (Bob) and Kathy Sands (Tim); and his caregiver Amy.
