He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schmucker and E. May Schmucker (Rutherford); his siblings, Glenn, William Schmucker and Lucille Brookes; his nephew Glenn Alan Schmucker; and his great-niece Rebecca Schmucker.

He is survived by: his sister Lela Brookes of Bloomville; and his nieces and nephews, Linda, Phil Drake of Bloomville, Robert Schmucker of Ellenwood, Adam, Kay Schmucker of Tiffin, John of Bloomville, Kelly Brookes of Bloomville, Paul Brookes of Bloomville, Kathy Brookes Gerry of Bloomville, Cindy Brookes of Bloomville, Tammy and Brian Miller of Green Springs.
