She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Howard McDanel and Velma McDanel (Spayde); her children, Steve Smith (Yokasta) of Centerburg and Connie Osborn (Richard) of Bellville; her grandsons, Chris Smith, Alex Smith and Geurmi Andujar-Perez; her nephew Michael Worner; her husband Walter "Bud" Smith; and her sister Lois Schwartz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
