She was predeceased by: her parents, Vinton Cooper and Etta Cooper (Stegall); her husband Elgan; her siblings, Ervin, Virgil and Cora Artis; and her grandson Aaron Butler.
She is survived by: her sons, Carlos Butler, Gary Butler (Phyllis), Roger Butler (Rose), Jack Butler (Susan) and Jeff Butler; and her siblings, Vernon Cooper, Larry Cooper and Kay Burton. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
