He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lee Shonk and Mary Shonk (Kolp); his wife Virginia Shonk (Ferrell); his daughters, Maudie Wiles (Vance) of Strasburg, Jayne Young (Dan) of Wooster, Darlene Baranauskas (Mark) of Dundee and Dora Umstead of Millersburg; and his grandchildren, Travis Wiles, Tad Wiles, McKenzie Wiles, John Lane, Samantha Mosser, Jason Kiem, Carrie Loveday, Jackie Umstead and Lori Miller. He was also cherished by numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
