He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Arthur Hill and Mignon Lucille Hill; his brother Donald C. Hill; his children, Geoffrey (Connie), Sarah Emmert Hill, Edward Jr. (Karen), Betty Harlan (Bruce), Mary Ann Weise (Richard) and Maude Sullivan (Mark); his stepdaughter Lyn Barnhart; and his sister Mary Jane Mauger (William). He was also cherished by Sixteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Timothy's Church or the Sam Center in Massillon.
