He is survived by: his wife Shirley Thornton (Hedrick); his children, Sarah Bryant of Columbus and Christopher "Walt" Thornton (Amalie) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Tessa Thornton, Farrah, Caleb and Lana Prince; and his sister Nancy Conkle (Darryl) of Canal Winchester. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
