He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Fannin and Ann Fannin (Stephens); his wife Sandy; and his siblings, Linda, Kenneth and Wayne.
He is survived by: his children, Missy Abernathy of Chillicothe, Stacy Fannin (Janice) of Lancaster, Tina Fannin (Cody Hamilton) of Logan, Shannon Spencer (Rick) of Amanda and Wade Fannin (Heather Thatcher) of Amanda; his sister Pat Barr of Circleville; and his extended family, Dewy S., Steve M. and Steve H.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
