He was predeceased by: his parents, George B. Betts and Elizabeth Betts (Allspaugh); his former wife Mary Anne Betts; his brother Joe Betts; and his brother-in-law Ralph Tolbert.
He is survived by: his children, David E. Betts, Jr (Melinda) and Debbie Roush (Eric); his grandchildren, Katherine Betts, Michael Betts (Amanda) and Chloe Betts; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Brooke, Harper and Jackson; his nephews, Clinton Tolbert, Bradley Tolbert, Judd Betts and Patrick Betts; and his sister-in-law Cathy Tolbert.
