We are sad to announce that on November 16, 2023, at the age of 67, Ricky Lamar Spear of Akron, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sr. and Ada Rodgers (Spear); his brother Calvin Ruffin; his grandmother Gertrude Larkins (McCall); and his uncles, Henry and P. C. McCall.

He is survived by: his son Derick Easson (Heather); his grandchildren, Derrick, Desmond and Danielle Easson; his sister Caprice Spear (Spiritual); his daughter Sattawana Redding (Dorene Bell); his aunts, Minister Minnie Ruffin and Odessie McCall; and his uncle Willie McCall (Barbara). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
