He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester and Kathryn; his in-laws, Fred and Louise Converse; his sister-in-law Carol Howard; and his brothers, Robert, Marvin and Leonard.

He is survived by: his wife Adele; his sons, Jeff (Robyn) and Philip (Lisa); and his siblings, Susan Cassiday, Francine Settles (David), Melvin and Kenny. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
