It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Stephen Salopek (Akron, Ohio), born in Barberton, Ohio, who passed away on September 20, 2023, at the age of 26, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John, Mary Safar, Daniel and Susan Salopek; his aunt Sharon Salopek; and his brother Marc.
He is survived by: his parents, Mark Salopek and Julie Salopek (Safar); his sister Marisa; his grandmother Polly Salopek; his uncles, Steve (Jennifer), Dan Salopek (Tanya) and Bruce Safar (Joni); his cousins, Erin Ostergren (Kyle), Matt, Katie Safar, Danielle and Mia Salopek; and also Cloud.
Then Covid changed everything.
