He was predeceased by: his parents, William McCandless and Mildred McCandless (Hall); and his siblings, William McCandless (Marilyn), Marcella Griffin (late Terry, Sr.), Theresa McCandless and Andy McCandless.

He is survived by: his son Michael P. McCandless. He is also survived by his niece and nephews.
