It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Mima of Akron, Ohio, born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 25, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Mima and Mary Mima; his sister Joan Uhrin; and his grandson Nick Mima. He is survived by: his wife Sally Mima (Sinkhorn); his children, Beth Ann Jackson, Todd Mima and Shaun Mima (Rebecca); his grandchildren, Sara, Samantha, Halle, Geena, Audrey, Sydney and Mitchell; and his children, Jamie Mima, Sydney and Mitchell. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anthony Funeral Home - Akron Chapel (1990 S Main St, Akron, OH 44301). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Blessed Trinity Parish (300 E Tallmadge Ave, Akron, OH 44310).
