He was predeceased by: his wives, Sally and Ida Mae (McDonald); his sons, Alfred Jr. and Robert Paul Sr.; his siblings, Arthur, Willie, John Henry, Roosvelt, Mariah, Lela and Annie B; his daughter JoAnne; and his nephew Cornelious Jordan.
He is survived by: his children, Curtis Petty, Andy (Faye), Kenneth (Ninetta), Duane (Lisa), Maurice (Chris), Christine (Jack) and Stella; and his granddaughter Yolanda (Mary Frances). He is also survived by many friends, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
