She was predeceased by: her parents, Ida Steckler (Seiffer) and Joseph Steckler; her husband Leonard Schmidt; and her sister Rosalind. She is survived by: her daughter Rosalind Shenkman; her son-in-law Mark Shenkman of Greenwich, CT; her son Howard Schmidt of South Windsor, CT; and her sisters, Helen Richman of New York City and Sylvia Levine of Corona, CA.. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
