He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Yates and Olga Lauster Yates; his wife Patricia Poormon Yates; and his brother Robert Yates. He is survived by: his sons, Jerome "Jerry" L. Yates of Wolcott, NY, Allan Yates (Keri) of Clyde, NY and Michael R. Yates (Charity) of Wolcott, NY; his grandchildren, Kevin Jones, Brandon Jones, Hunter Yates (Carline), Kyle Slyter, Logan Yates (JazLynn McNeil) and Zoey Yates; his great grandchildren, Jacolby Smith, Lucas Yates and Marianne Yates; and his siblings, Sharon Rice (Wayne) of Clyde, NY, Craig Yates of Ontario, NY and Carol Geiger of Clyde. He is also survived by cousins; many nieces and nephews.
