He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Marriott and Nora Marriott (Calder); his granddaughter Lynda Light; and his siblings, William, Melvin, Owen, John, Franklin, Dorothy, Frances, Eleanor, Myra and Lorraine.
He is survived by: his wife Miriam Drake; his children, Kevin Marriott (Sue), Lorie Backus (Ed), Donna Tofolo (Dominick) and Denise Brown; his grandchildren, Ed Backus II, Brad Backus, Kourtney Bullis, Kathy Brown, Todd Brown, Mike Backus, Kristen Combs, Julia Marriott and Kevin Marriott Jr.; his great grandchildren, Eddie Backus III and Billy Backus; and his sisters, Louise Holmes, Emma O'Connor, Iva Lewis (Frank) and Beverly Szewczyk (Joseph).
