He was predeceased by: his daughter Catherine Mary; his grandson Ethan; his parents, Margaret Schaffstall and Charles Schaffstall; and his siblings, Charles (late Lillian) and Berdina (late Al).
He is survived by: his children, William Schaffstall, Michael Schaffstall (late Victoria), Elizabeth Ann Vealey and Christopher Schaffstall (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Christine (Daniel), Maria, Nicholas (Laura), Patrick (Lexie), Kelsey (Richard), Emily (Eric), Kyle, Indianna, Krystal, Michael Jr., Bailey and Peyton; his great grandchildren, Nathan, Maxwell and Kaylin; and his brother Eugene (late Eleanor). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Meals on Wheels.
