It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Florence Mathews (Weedsport, New York), born in Sterling, New York, who passed away on August 28, 2019, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mothers, Christa Schrader and Hannah Holmes Schrader; her husband John J. Mathews Sr.; and her son John J. Mathews Jr.. She is survived by: her close friend Leroy Peck; her children, James Mathews (Patricia), Roger Mathews (Katherine) and Carol Witchey; and her sister Gertrude Woodworth. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
