He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence and Katherine; his brothers, Tom and Jim; and also, Edwin and Betty Wilkins.

He is survived by: his close friend Dawn Wilkins; his children, William Laidlaw (Kim), Kenneth Laidlaw, Douglas Laidlaw and Margaret Day (Jason); and his grandchildren, Caleb Day, Liam, Lucy and Jack Laidlaw.

The family requests no flowers. A charity for donations will be announced shortly.
