It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruby J. Petrey of Waverly, New York, born in Owego, New York, who passed away on September 19, 2021, at the age of 103, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Brown and Mary Parson Brown; her husband Earl Petrey; her children, Patricia Leary and Larry Petrey; her brothers, Oscar Brown (Helen) and Archie Brown; and her grandson-in-law Roger Bartholomew.
She is survived by: her daughter Nancy Farrell (Terry) of Sayre; her son-in-law Daniel Leary of Waverly; her brother Harry Brown (Evie) of Florida; and her grandchildren, Lisa Kisel (Jeff), Kevin Leary (Deb), Mark Leary (Chris), Karen Bartholomew, Elizabeth Trengo (Mike), Earl Petrey (Mona) and Melissa Knolles (Eric). She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made in Ruby's name to the Waverly Library or Stray Haven.
