He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Gardner and Grace Gardner; his wife Phyllis Hager Gardner; and his children, Cynthia Percey Salamino, Douglas Gardner (Gayle) of Bradford, NY, Philip Gardner (Lorraine) of Cortland, NY, Karen Slaven (James Jr.) of Elmira, NY and Nancy Fraboni (Mickey) of Watkins Glen, NY.. He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
