He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Ferrell Carden and Jack Elmore Carden; his siblings, Gary Carden, Jerome Carden, Minnie Louise Carden and Lisa Carden; and his stepson Alton Brett.
He is survived by: his son Lawrence Andrew Carden Jr. (April); his sister Jacqueline Michelle Carden; his stepdaughter Alita Britt (Mush); and his grandchildren, Tiana Carden, KingLazir Carden and Le'Niyah Carden. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
