She was predeceased by: her parents, John G. McCormick and Veronica Lindsay McCormick; her husband Martin VanBuren Hughes; her grandchild Emelie Hughes; her sister Dorothy Dugan; and her close friend Robert Webb.
She is survived by: her children, Martin VanBuren Hughes, III of Tupper Lake, Susan D. Hughes (Dean Boice) and Scott L. Hughes (Joann Dwyer) of Sacandaga; her grandchildren, Martin Hughes IV, Michael, Christopher, Elliott Hughes, Adam, Kathryn Cehowski, Scott Hughes, Jr., Kara Breininger and Alex Hughes; and her sister-in-law Ellen Hughes of Watervliet. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
