It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Eugene P. Burns of Watervliet, New York, who passed away on January 14, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burns and Lena Burns (Connors); and his siblings, James Burns, Elizabeth McHale, John Burns and William Burns.

He is survived by: his wife Gloria Burns (Milanese); his children, Kim Burns (Melinda), Deborah Byrne (Martin), Colleen Accetta (Anthony), Shawn Burns (Maggie), Anita Burns (Nancy Franklin) and Damian Burns; his brother Robert; and his sister-in-law Sandra Beston. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
