He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gerald Canaan and Marcella LaVancha Canaan; his children, Tonia M. Ives (Marcus McCarty) of Watertown and Anthony Canaan (Heather) of Black River, NY; his grandsons, Ryan and Daymon Ives; his sisters, Cindy McIntyre (Dan) and Geraldine Wyath; and his wife Betty Canaan. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
