He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Layton and Josephine Layton; and his sister Betty Jane Layton. He is survived by: his wife Lynn Clapp Layton; his sons, Jonathan Layton (Bridget Hall) of Webster and Matthew Layton (Lisa) of Penfield; his grandsons, Connor, Evan Layton and Aiden Hall; and his sisters, Dianna Weimer (Philip) of Wellsville and Gloria Love (Joseph Finocchario) of Livonia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
