He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard H. Yarnes and Juanita Yarnes (Constable); his former wife Marjorie Parsons; and his siblings, Gail Yarnes, Evelyn Yarnes, Dawn Gordon and Juanita Robinson.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Dow; his close friend Edith Mills; his children, Roseann Hotaling of Corinth, NY and Michael Yarnes (Cindy) of Kutztown, PA; his grandchildren, Jared (Kate), Eric (Brooke), Daniel and Lauren; his great grandchildren, Adilynn, Phoebe and Wesley; his sisters, Eleanor Donnelly of Hamden and Faye Yarnes of Liberty; and his friend Don Ogden of Walton. He is also survived by neighbors, friends.
