He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Szczepczynski and Marion Szczepczynski (Walczak). He is survived by: his wife Faye Bodiot; his children, Tarasia Thorpe, Anthony C. Szczepczynski (Laurie), Michael S. Szczepczynski (Amy) and Jamie L. Thomson (Jesse); his grandchildren, Christopher Szczepczynski (Patricia), Emma Rose Szczepczynski, Tyler Brown, Maisyn Thomson, Jaedyn Roloson and Aubrie Thomson; his great grandchild Brayden Szczepczynski; and his sister Therese Szczepczynski. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
