He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Carroll and Edna Thompson Carroll; his stepmothers, Laura Budine Carroll and Virginia Porter Carroll; his brothers, William Carroll, Harry E Carroll, Jr. and Robert Carroll; and his stepsiblings, Everett Budine and Rhetha Budine Filer Mauro.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Carroll; his daughter Debra Caruso (Brian) of Walton, NY; his granddaughter Sierra Caruso (Liam Dowd) of Albany, NY; and his siblings-in-law, Harold Reynolds (Susan) of Ocala, FL and Wilburna Budine of Walton, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
